The present Hull ID system wasn't implemented by the gummit until late 1972. Before then it was left entirely up to the mfg to put on a tag or label. Even if they did so, the labels have a habit of going missing with 40+ years of use.

If you are trying to register your boat, your state will issue you an ID number when one does not exist.

Ricline boats had tags on the left side of the transom often tacked on with just small nails to the wooden transom. Most of them fell off by now. Richline was in Richland Mo and closed in the Early 70's. My Dad was killed in an accident at the plant that was about 1 mile from our house.

I agree with the "1975", but not with the manufacturer information.

BTW, 75E means Model Year 1975 and December (August was A)

Also, I have found it unsuccessful to do a HIN search for Rich Line boats. I have a canoe that is APB0957XM76B. All I can surmise is that 76B means September of the 1976 Model year, so, probably 1975.

When you do a MIC search now, APB comes back as:
MICCompanyAddressCityState
APBAUSTIN PARKER YACHTS USA7950 SW 36 STMIAMIFL

Perhaps you should have read all the MIC info for APB.

Bob is absolutely correct, even though he posted nearly 9yrs ago.

In 2014, because all previous manufacturers using APB were no longer in business, Austin Parker Yachts was issued a re-cycled MIC. And appears to still be in business importing yachts from Italy.

Oh, and as GA pointed out, its an old inactive topic. Dont post to them, esp w incomplete or inaccurate info.
