hull numbers

I have a 1961 Glasshawk 15 ft. got from a guy in N.Y. trying to tag it in Fla. But the hull numbers on the N.Y. reg. are no where on the

they did not necessarily have hull numbers, have to register homemade. you need the registration numbers from previous registration,

i was in the tag agency 2years ago and person next to me was trying to register a boat he boat in NY older boat also the clerk adviced him to bring bill of sale or canceld check and a picture of the boat , she had to look up what was required to reg. boat in a manual/hanbook from state of fl.

This comes up a lot- I think a sticky should be made up top, something like "I have a 19XX boat, where is the hull number?"

hull numbers are on the top starboard of the transom. states have different requirements for registrations, and title, so a sticky would not work. Florida is one of the hardest.
