My guess is it uses a run of the mill NE-2 bulb, if it's anything like my Dad's Lawrence spinnythingy depth finder. Radio shack may still carry them, if you can solder. I remember when Grandpa got it in the late 60's. It also undoubtedly has electrolytic capacitors that will need replacing in the foreseeable future. At $60-$80/hr shop time, you will be far more ahead on a newer one.
