I am looking for a new fish finder for my new old boat. Currently I have a Ray Jeff 580. It came with the boat and it still reads depth but I want more. I have been reviewing different fish finders and I really like the looks and function of the Helix. I will mainly fishing in lakes with a max depth of 80 feet. I would really like to mount the Helix into the dash where the Ray Jeff currently resides. I have looked all over I cannot find what the physical dimensions are on the Helix 5 or 7. I would prefer the 7 but I am worried it will be to big for the area. The closest store for me to actually look at the Helix is 2.5 hours away and I am hoping someone on here could save me 5 hours.
