Hello,
I have two Humminbird Helix 7 units. One is a Helix 7 SI GPS and the other is a Helix 7 DI GPS. I also have a Humminbird 597 CI HD (Not DI)
The Helix 7 SI is at the helm of my bass boat. The DI is mounted near the trolling motor.
The 597 CI HD is located at the helm of a smaller fishing boat I have. I move the Helix 7 DI to trolling motor area on that boat as well and just swap the unit between the boats depending on which one I'm taking out.
My question is this:
If I purchase ONE Navionics+ mapping card, can I physically remove that card from my 7 SI when I'm taking the small boat out and place it into the 597 CI HD?
Also, if I were to drop the trolling motor and decide I'd rather have my mapping charts at the front of the boat, could I physically remove the card from the unit at the helm and put it in the one at the front of the boat?
I'm not trying to make multiple copies of my card, just wondering if the card "marries" the first fishfinder it's inserted into or can be moved between units?
