So recently my fishfinder stopped making beeping sounds and showing fish. I put it on demo mode and it still does not show fish even though it is suppose to. Is this a problem with the unit itself or transducer?
What is a good fishfinder to get that actually works like it is suppose to.

i am sure you did this,, but.... it happend to me. check the menu settings to be sure the fish finder graph is turned on. Mine was off for some reason, when I turned it back on, walla, fish!!

You have a good one there already (I hope). It is just a little quirky though. Perhaps they all are I don't know. What I recently discovered on my portable, is it only remembers settings when the transponder is connected. With the transponder disconnected, you can change things all you want but when you power down and then back up it will revert to the settings it had from the last time the transponder was connected. Weird but that's the way mine seems to work. Mine is a 160 portable unit. If my idea is out to lunch, go to their web site and ask them what the problem could be. Rick.
