So this weekend fire the boat up head out turn on the old fish finder/gps and came up no gps fix. Ok so sometimes it takes awhile to lock so let it go went for awhile then it never did get a lock then it came up on screen loss communication. So check cable wiggle test per say nothing happend. Tore apart base to make sure the cable was plugged in and that the connections are clean put back together and thought it was working. Next day take boat back out half way out of marina and theres no gps nothing like its not even an option in the fish finder has worked great all season (except finding the fish part) Its not a real serious problem but really like to have my numbers for my best fishing spots (ha like i have any) or i break down. Tore the base back apart while fishing and checked cables again nothing seems to be wrong how do you go about finding out if it the fish finder it self or if its in the cable or the receiver on the roof of boat. Anyideas
