We've heard from Oddjob, Jim in Orlando, Lucky Jim, Scooch_2, Derwood and snapperbait but where is Dhadley? He is from Port Charlotte where the worst damage is?

Who else are we missing?

I pray our Florida forum buddies are all okay.

LF, that area took Hurricane Charlie full-force. We have distant relatives we had trouble finding. The Red Cross located them.
If I kneww what his name and address were, they could find him.

Yes if any of you have that information, please do a check for us with the Red Cross.

I need full names. They wont know who "Derwood" or Dhadey is. He is likely a Hadley, but ....?
Address is exteremely helpfull too. Comon, Moderators, drop me an email. I promise not to release the info, just the fellow member's disposition.
Given the devastation of the area, we are all very worried.

On this subject, I'll be going to Port Charlotte today to drop-off and set-up a generator. If I had the addresses, I could do a "drive-by".

I'm back from PC, and it's worse than I thought.
The traffic added by 'lookie-lou's' is hampering relief efforts, so I did not stay and contribute to it any more than necessary.
Thanks, JB. No answer, but will keep trying periodically.
Do you have an address? I'll be back ASA the power is returned to my cousin's home. And I can do a drive-by. I'd like to offer him any help possible also.
Red Cross is not manned, got a recording giving hours "8:30am to 4:30pm Monday thru Friday" .
We have yet to contact anyone via cell or twisted-pair phone lines in iether PC or Punta Gorda, due to infrastructure damage. But I'll keep trying.

I pray for the safety of the people in the Charlotte county area. I’m in Orlando and still don’t have cable service (I use a cable modem). It will be sometime before people will be able to use the internet. They might not even have a working computer.

We can and should continue to pray for their safety. I am so thankful that none of my family or friends was hurt or injured. For the size and power of hurricane Charley, there could have been many, many more people hurt or killed.

Thanks for being worried and concerned for you fellow iboat friends.

Jim in Orlando
