Hurricane Fundeck 170GS

I am looking for any feedback in regards to the Hurricane 170 Fundeck. My wife and I are looking at this and trying to determine if a 90HP Outboard is adequate for most purposes or should we increase the HP. Also, what is your opinion on the size of the boat. The other reviews I have found are promising but I would like to hear it from actual experiences...Thanks<br />Randy

do you intend to tube, kneeboard, wakeboard, waterski? how many people do you expect on the boat? if more than a few, i suggest you get that many on the boat for 1/2 hour and see how you feel for room.

We bought a GS188 Hurricane this Spring and have a 4-stroke Yamaha 115. It seems to be plenty powerful for our purposes which is just running around the creeks and rivers here on the Bay. We don't plan to water ski, but have had six well-fed adults aboard and have had no problem getting up to plane. A test ride as suggested is probably the best bet.
