I've been coaching youth sports for 10 years now, and I can't go to many places without hearing "hey coach". At times my house is like a locker room with all these ballplayers. Something I am proud of. Yesterday we had to bury one of my boys, who was killed in a car accident. My son and I are devistated, just doesn't seem fair. I'd ask you to pray for him, but that would make me a hypocrite. My son (14) and I hugged each other for about 10 minutes yesterday. Why does it take something like this. Life is short, enjoy it!

Re: Hurting

Sorry to hear that bud. When you coach, the kids you coach are almost like your own, I can relate. Even though you didn't ask for it, you and the kids you coach will be in my prayers tonight.

Re: Hurting

Thank you GG and L/F. He was 15 and his mother died when he was 5 and his father last year of alcoholism. 5 of us tried to adopt him, and we all agreed on one place he should stay. Great student and athlete, against all odds

It's always so hard to loose a youngster. Take comfort in knowing you tried to make his life on earth easier tylerin. Lord knows what it would have been like had you and your friends not been around.

Deepest sympathies extended to you and yours.

Tylerin – I am sincerely sorry to hear you are in this position. Both you and your son are lucky to have each other. There is never hypocrisy in asking for prayers. Indeed it is generous in that affords the praying an opportunity to do what they do all so well.

Our prayers are with you.

I believe God puts friends in our path for that very reason. And not just friends, sometimes He uses perfect strangers and even internet friends to help ease our grief and sorry and extend a prayer or two.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Yes, times like this do remind one of how short life is. Being a teacher I find myself caring too much at times, but hey that's me. Just tough when something happens. Thoughts are with you, your family and his family.
Bassy
