hurts boat

I have a chance to buy a 1978 Hurts bass boat with a 1977 50 horse merkery for $550.00. It runs good but the only problem is that I can not find any information on a boat made by Hurts. Can any one tell me if they have ever heard of this boat and where I can find info on it...Thanks

The condition of an "older" boat is much more important than who made it. All fiberglass boats are made pretty much the same. There can be a significant difference in the quality but the process is the same.<br /><br />In the Miami are we used to have it seemed like hundreds of boat manufacturers going in and out of business all the time. Some were pretty good and others not so hot. We called em Hialeah Specials. This is not to say that the Hurts was one of those or even like those.
