Has any one had any experience with turning point's hustler props? Do they really bite a lot better than stock aluminum?

I have a 1988 bomber 16' with 110 evinrude 13x19 michigan match prop and I can't trim the boat up hardly at all. I really need more bite/bow lift, but the omc raker is too expensive! Anyone think the hustler would work for me?

Thanks!

Re: Hustler props

I have one on my Mercruiser I/O. It's a great running prop, but it seems to have extra cup compared to my Michigan Wheel prop. The hustler is a 19 pitch, the MWheel is a 21 pitch and they turn very close to the same RPM, but that may be a function of the engine as I'm still tuning after a rebuild. I will likely buy another hustler when I need another prop.

I run one, but have no real knowledge of props or input to help you out. All I can say is that it works for me, at a very reasonable price. But what do I know, I have a Force.

I am using the same dia and pitch as my stock prop. I lost maybe 50-100 rpm, possibly due to the cupping. I would like to get one with more pitch to bring my rpm's down a little, but can't find one that will fit.

Re: Hustler props

Thanks for the replys guys. I'm still a little unsure about getting one of these. I really need a lot of bow lift for my application, and I think dropping the cash for a SS raker is the only surefire way to get the results I want.

Thanks.

Re: Hustler props

The Hustler I run has no problems pulling the nose of my 2500lb bowrider sky high is I don't trim way down or get the weight balanced. Last time I did that, people were grip[ping the dash for dear life :D
