Been there, done that, ONCE, but not again.<br />I was in the boat with some idiot on Lake Barkley in some BIG water and he said, "Watch this". Hit a wave, stuff went to flying around and once boat had settled back down, I told him to take me to the dock and I would wait to see if he returned.<br />That was the last time I went with him.<br />Such an idiot.
Never been quite that high in a boat (well, not without smokin' somethin' a way long time ago, hehe), but I did achieve liftoff unintentionally when cutting across the wake of a ferry on Lake Erie. It was NOT pleasant!! Learned a lesson, though--SLOW DOWN when crossing wakes!
Yes and when crossing wakes of loaded barges on the mighty Ohio River. <br /><br />Should have seen this fat daddy at WOT crossing them wakes in a 16' and stuff bouncing including me, lures flying around.<br />Was pretty comical to think about it in a mental picture.
Going airborn is fun it's the landing that is the killer broke 3 of my boats ribs doing something like that once. I was not doing it for fun rather did not know about the standing waves at that point untill it was too late.
Is that thing a RIB ?<br /><br />Wonder how many horse power he got?<br /><br />Sure do look like fun.<br /><br />I regularly jump the ferry wakes around here, but I have never gotten that high, except back in the late '70's, but that's a different story.
