Hydrofoil...a question

Put my Stingray on recently and it seems to help on some situations. One thing I noticed is how dang SHARP the trailing edges are. If I have people/kids on a tube trying to get back in the boat up the ladder, won't that big thing present a slashing hazard, even with the outdrive all the way over?

Re: Hydrofoil...a question

it could be. but if you sand it you will hurt the effect of the hydofoil just like you don't want to sand your prop. they are both wings and if you change thier shape they become much less effective. You could paint the trailing edge a day glow orange so swimers could see if better then maybe they wouldn't hit it. I think the odds in anyone getting cut bad are very slim. But it could happen.
