Hello, when I have three or four people in my boat I am having trouble with plaining out and they must move to the front for me to get on plane. I do have a long shaft on a short shaft transom so the cavitation plate is about 1.75-2 inches below the bottom of the transom as i already raised the motor the max I can. So, if i were to get a hydrofoil, would it still be very effective if the motor is deeper than they generally are, and also if anybody has any recommendations on good hydrofoils please let me know.

Thank you

Re: hydrofoil

You need to build up the transom. there is No way a hydrofoil will help you.

Re: hydrofoil

What he ^^^ said. Your hydrofoil would be underwater and create maximum drag. Get the transom and the outboard to match. That should help a lot.
