I have an 89 Hynautic system with a reservalve, the system still operates fine but the air guge is rusted completely away. Since they have been bought out, can not find replacment parts. Anyone with expierence on this system? It appears to hold pressure and the steering is still operating should I bother replacing it?

I believe that Teleflex was stocking some parts for them. I remember seeing something about it on their web site.

Thom

Re: Hynautic steering system

Hynautic was bought out by T-flex. Actually T-flex bought Morse Marine which included Hynautic. You might get lucky and call T-flex to see if they have a gauge left. It was almost sinful what got thrown away.

Some of the distributors may still have one too like Land-N-Sea or Jerrys Marine Service. Iboats shows some stuff but its been discontinued.

If you dont have any luck send me an e-mail and I'll get you a guys name that may be able to help. Put "Hynautic" in the subject line.

Good luck!

This site has some good information on Hynautic and others. You may be able to locate the pressure gauge p/n here or get the spec's and by one off the shelf at a plumbing or HVAC store.

http://www.charment.com/
