I feel better now that I traveled 1500 miles

In Two days as you know from my other posts I have been going through a lot lately. well my brother in law had to take his son back to colorado and asked if I wanted to go with him. We left at 9o p.m. friday went through kansas over to colorado springs. climbed the Garden of the Gods trail at pikes peek. Then on down to new mexico. where we hiked mt. Capicorn. then on back up to Oklahoma. We got back at 10o p.m. sunday night. It was a big circle but I feel better. Thank you for all your prayers. Going again In NOvember<br />Serenity

Serenity, thats sounds awesome. I'm so glad you had the opportunity to get out and enjoy nature for a bit. Sounds like a bit of an enduro, but well worth it I'm sure.<br /><br />Welcome back!

Oh the beautiful senery was worth it. we could not go the the top of pikes peek because of the snow. but we went half way up. we could see the snow clouds going over the peeks of the mountian. and dropping a lot of snow. we pulled over and let the kids play in a snow bank . I thought about making a Big snow man on the side of the road, but we did not have that much time.<br />I can't wait till next month when we go back we are going on over to see seven falls.<br />Serenity

I would of like to do what you just did.. The traveling and see new places.. But I really want to do some hiking.. Sence these legs of mine don't want to do much walking anymore.. I myself have to have a brain tumor removed.. Been putting it off until my son turns 18, so I have been doing what I can oneday at atime... Giving everyone a badtime on iboats and having fun..<br />Glad you were able to get out and enjoy, I'm new by the way..<br />God Bless<br />Do you have any pictures of New Mexico, I always wanted to go visit that area?..<br />I did get to go through Colorado one-time..

Garden of the Gods is really neat, there is another place called Cave of the winds (I think) that is really neat. If you get the chance, go up to the top of Pikes Peak. The little train that goes up the side is a trip. If you go late in November, go up a ways on a mountain at night. It is gorgeus(sp) to look down at "Springs" with all the lights.

I used to mountain bike at Garden of the Gods, great place. I loved Colorado, I was stationed at Colorado Springs in Ft Carson. I could ride out my front door and bike all day. Loved it...

Glad to have you on board Bd-tub toy. I love to spend time typing out to everyone here.<br />I loved to hike the Gardens but when my brother in law and his son left my daughter and I in them (he knew what rock to climb I was taking my time figuring them out) at that moment the thought came about This is where the mountian lions ate the hiker So I got out my grizzly spray just in case and was hurring to get back to the group. then on to new mexico inside the volocano my nerves still watching out for the cats, my daughter thinks she sees one. what do you all think about taking a boat horn just in case? will the noise distract them? plus the grizzly spray?<br />serenity
