:D First, Thanks for the great posts in answer to my first question, I found the HIN #, its on the transom on the stern side of the out drive. It is molded into the hull and is partially covered by a mount bolted over the last 3 digits. What I need to know now is how do I find out the year of manufacture of the boat? The Hin # is (as much as I can read) FSJNC209C***. I know the FSJ means Citation Boats in So. Carolina, but what year and other info can be learned from this number? I asume the last 3 digits would be the series of hull manufactured that year, like in a Car's VIN #. And I will try the DMV to locate the owner, Thanks again.

Here is a site that gives some info on the HIN, seems like it could be a little different if the boat was built prior to 1984. HIN Site

The last two digits are the year. Bummer!

Perhaps the builder can help you out with what you have.

Good luck.
