from what i have gathered here at iboats and the web .....invader went out of business in the mid to late 90`s ...i currently own a 96 gw invader bravo 200 es and cant find even a picture of on on the net or even someone that owns one.....its a beautiful rig to me and is in great shape thanks to alot of people on this site. its a 20 ft open bow with a chevy 305 inboard and a alpha one outdrive. what i like about it also is the removable bow cover. and the newly found reliability....if anyone knows of or owns one still please let me know as i have a curious mind and like i said cant find another one like it......i have seen some 18 and 21 ft boats but no 20`s ...this has really got me wondering ....how many did they make in 96???? being there last production year from what i can tell.....my profile pic is crappy but i have more upon request..

thanx
steve

No pic in profile.

And there are thousands of boat manufactures.

I overhear this all the time;

"What kind of boat do you have?"
"A 1993 Islander"
"Oh, cool"

...really? that tells me absolutely nothing.

Boat builder A sells boat mold to boat builder B
Boat builder B make them for a few years and sells to company C
its all the same stuff.

"its a 20 ft open bow with a chevy 305 inboard and a alpha one outdrive"
-That is what kind of boat you have

I had an '84 17' Invader. I don't know when they started or stopped making them. I bought mine new, but to tell you the truth I didn't like the hull design. It was too short for the V-hull design they (or whomever built the mold) gave it. It had the tendency to have a top-heavy feel that was hard to get used to, and it wasn't worth tabbing it so I sold it.
Yours being a newer 20' has a completely different hull design, and the power plant is perfect. May you have many good boating years with it

Do a search on this forum. there was a thread a while back about the GW boats and some history on the plant.

You do have a pretty rare boat! I was looking for a GW before I bought the BAJA and it was pretty hard to find one around here and if you did they brought pretty good money.

Same with my ChrisCraft Scorpion K. Can't find anything!
Plenty of Scorpion models but none look anything like my Scorpion K..

I know this is a bit old, but I have a Invader Bravo myself. It's currently undergoing major surgery, but for the short time I had it in the water I loved it... My only "complaint was that the bow seats are skinny and not so comfortable. Other than that I love it.

Hi Steve, I just purchased a 96 GW Invader Bravo ES. My boat has a 302 Ford FL H.O. inboard and a Volvo Penta SX Cobra outdrive. It has brand new interior, as the old owner had a Racoon chew the seats! I will upload pictures when I get it back form the shop. BAD winter gas has the motor fouled up. I too am curious and would like to know if anyone has an owners manual for the boat? I have one for the drivetrain.

I'd be interested in looking at one myself (owners manual). I scored mine from a grumpy old fella who couldn't imagine why I would want it. They didn't have a float switch on the bilge pump and it sank from heavy rain. (so I'm told) They got it up and never did anything else with it but put it back on the trailer, which is probably why I'm completely rebuilding it. Everything was rotten and the motor was locked up from rust.
