So yesterday morning around 9 or so I decide to watch a dvd. I fire up the home theater and sit down. About 15 minutes into the movie I start hearing this popping sound. I thought it was part of the movie until I realized the bass was coming in and out. Turned out to be my powered subwoofer. It is a big JBL that I bought three years ago. The amp in it had blown 4 months after I bought it. It was fixed under waranty, and lasted up until yesterday, when it fizzled again. Keep in mind I don't dog my gear, I never play it maxed out or any of that. I was a bit unhappy considering I had dropped almost $500 for it back then. I went to the local stereo shop and was told I could not get a replacement amp for it, but it could be repaired for about $300. I decided to just buy another subwoofer, and they gave me a $400 unit for $200 because of my problems with the first one. It is a different brand. It has 50 less watts, but otherwise it sounds fine.

So that was fun, and I decide to go online and check the UPS tracking for the fishfinder I ordered. According to the website it was delivered to my front door. I was very pleased because it was a day early, but I don't remember seeing a box when I came home. Must have missed it carrying a 50 pound subwoofer. Looked out, no box. I started to stress, called UPS, they said they would check into it. All I could think of was that it was left at the wrong house, and that the person will keep it. I got called this morning by the driver who described the house she dropped it off at. It was my neighbors, house, a doctor who has a wall around his house and an iron gate. I walked over, and the gate was open and nobody was there. My package was still sitting on the front stoop. I was pleased, grabbed my package, and let UPS know. Just one of those days....

One of those days.....

Yesterday for me...

Wifes car is at the shop having the timing set, Mitsubishi, I put in a new Distributer, got it close, but didn't know how to set timing, so trade with the guy for working on his computer.

So..

Wife drives my minivan into work, and I drive my big '71 1ton that I'm working on.

On the way home early to meet my wife to go to doc, I go around a cornor, clip the curb and now have NASTY sound in the rear end. So limp it to a parking lot and call my boss who brings me the company van to drive home.

Get home, hop in the mini van to head to the doc.

On the way to go pick up son at school, mini van stops running on a back road..... but only 1 mile from school and the shop that has her car. Call the shop, he comes and picks us up in the car that he just got done working on.

Go to autozone, get new cap and roter, mini van up and running.

So at one point in the day yesterday all 3 of my vehciles bit the dust. Back up to 2 outa 3, with the '71 rear end being torn apart in the parking lot here at work.

....just one of those days :)
