picked up a new to me trailer. got a reasonable deal on a galvanized tennessee trailer for the Rogue that had a single bad axle. the existing painted shoreland'r is quickly dissapearing, even with a rinse and flush every use. the rollers quit rolling last time out, and a crawl under the boat to inspect had me searching CL for a new trailer

The new to me trailer had (emphasis on had) UFP disc brakes that functioned at one time. however the PO rewired it. went from 5-pin to a 4-pin wiring because his truck didnt have a 5th pin. however vs putting in the pin to prevent brake lock up, he disconnected the lines to the calipers and proceeded to use the trailer in the brine. the calipers are a solid one piece of iron oxide held together with a bit of rust (pun intended).

in addition to axle repair, bunk replacement roller replacement and a proper re-wire, I am now adding 4 rotors and calipers to the shopping list

Q@#%@#$% rust and uneducated PO's

the Admiral is not happy my estimate to repair the wagon has gone out the window.

thanks for letting me vent.

I hate those UFP couplers that are welded on like that. I will take a bolted on Titan/Dico any day of the week.

The UFP actuators are kind of nice that they are small and compact. beating the retaining pins out with a 5# fist maul is not fun. I have an Attwood on the trailer I am replacing that I absolutely hate.

Agreed. I don't like Atwood either. Not a big fan of Tie-Down because of their quality issues.
