I have a cracked head on the port side of 305/5.0 an it still runs good

Even though the cracked head leaks a little water. How long will it last? Ive been running it now like this for a year...lol without any issues

it will last right up to the point of failure. failure will happen when it will be least convenient.

Keep driving it until you crack the block too...then buy a new engine.

Thats just what i had planned. Because the engine still going strong. And im the last person that worries about being stranded. Cus it doesnt bother me. And i plan on upgrading to a new 350 anyway. The motor i got now is a 1992, 305 that i payed $150 for And the motor i pulled out of this boat was a 3.0.... Which was blown. 1 have less than $1000 invested in this boat. And you would be amazed at how it looks and runs. But i have a lot of time in it.
