i have a timing problem also lol

88 5.7... new tune up dwell is set to 29 and i am trying to set timing to 8 btdc but it runs like crap that it will just stall. if i go more then 10 btdc it work better and the motor idles fine, am i missing something???

You may need to raise the idle up to 650-700 rpm as you turn the distributor, and adjust the idle mixture.
