I have just got an evinrude 35hp

Hello<br /><br />I have a 35hp Evinrude outboard with electric start, I want to get a service manual for it but dont know the year. I have looked all over the engine and cant find any serial number on it all I can find are part numbers. <br /><br />Please can some one tell me how i can find out the age of my engine?

Hello.<br />The Isle of Wight,used to go to a music festival there when I was young.<br />You will probably find the model# and the serial# on the transom clamp either on the side or right on the top of the clamp.It is this little metal plate.You may have to take a rag and do some cleaning before you find it.<br />Keep us posted.

Thanks Rolmops<br /><br />I will look next weekend that is the only daylight right now when not working that is. <br /><br />By the way the festival is now i think in its 3rd year of revival

I have looked all over the transom clamp and the only numers i can find are stamped on, there is no plate on there at all. The boat and engine are on a trailer so Standing behind the boat with the engine tilted up on the inside left of the clamp is a number 323254 on the right inside 323253. Also there is a bar that sits on the back at the bottom of the clamp which sort of sits between the clamps has a number 319709-1 and just under the left side i think it is on the throtle cable bracket there is a number 322884 D-1. Does this make any sense?
