I have no idea what this part is????

As you can se from my headline I am confused!<br />I have 1978 evinrude 115 with power tilt.There is part that conects motor with tilt and steering cable goes thru. it has nut on bot size. it looks like just like pipe with tread on both sides.It's about 25-30 inches long. does anyone know what is it called and where I could find one. thanks

It's called a tilt tube... Any OMC (johnson/evinrude) dealer should be able to help you get one..

There is a new mounting system for "toons" that will stop the problem of loosing your readings at high speed -- see below
