I have not seen this before, what is it?

I suspect this is something to activate an old speedo on a boat, but I have never seen it before. Ideas, I am going to take it off because speedo's on a boat don't mean anything to me

Mt , everyone knows that thing is a jet driven trolling motor .. There should be a water pickup on the bottom somewhere ..
The supply tube is just missing that hooks on up top ... Sometime people modify them and use compressed air instead of water ..

No instruments on the boat when I got it, there was a 3" hole in the dash, that is now filled with a tach. What is odd, is this contraption, plus under on the bottom of the hull where the trailer roller sits, there is an actual speedo sensor mount that is broken and covered up with some kind of grey epoxy.

It is made to be filled with pig blood to leave a chum line when trolling for fresh water sharks.

That is a speedo pickup, made by AirGuide. My dad's 54' Chris Craft had it.
The boat is gone and I don't know the brand of trim tab.

I'll be jiggered. Found an ad on Ebay with all the parts, including the pickup underneath by your trailer roller.
