I have problems

I was out on the river fishing with my son when my 60 horse power mercury bigfoot series motor started alarming. I have checked the water pump, oil pump, put in new spark plugs, disconnected the battery, disconnected the alarm and reconnected each. I can not find out what the problem is. Does anyone have an idea? How can I get a manual for this series. It think the motor is 1986 2 stroke.

A solid tone is an indication of an overheat condition. When was the last time the water pump was replaced?

The Water Is Pumping Out At Full Stream.

joe, i have the 60HP Mariner and i had the same problem and once I replaced the water pump the issue disappeared. Even though I felt the stream coming out was sufficient and strong.
