Hello, can anyone help me find information on a project i have. It is extremely rough looking but i can see the potential of the boat I got for free. All i know is it is a buccaneer with a johnson 100 on it. So anything anyone can tell me will be helpful. I tried finding the original brochure or something online to tell me what it originally looked like or something but i can't find anything. Please Help!!!!!

Welcome aboard:

It is rough lookin'. You'll want to do a lot of checking to make sure the stringers and transom are solid. Good chance you've got some rot going on in there.

You should have a HIN number on your paperwork. If not you can find it on the stern, starboard side, under the rub rail (usually). You can determine the manufacturer from that number. You likely won't find much of a manual, they really don't make those for boats - except for the outboard. Best to ask specific questions here on the forums.

How would i go about getting to the transom when it looks like part of the boat is in the way. Also how do i get the aluminum gas tank out. There has to be some sort of trick to it.

The transom is part of the stern of the boat ... it's encased in fiberglass.

Was that a permanently mounted tank, or the portable tanks?

It is an aluminum tank and meant to be left in but i believe when i get the top off i can remove it then to replace everything
