A few weeks ago, an abnormally ugly post got real nasty and hurtful things were said by many people (please don't ask about or restart the topic). Since then, our good friend djohns19 hasnt't posted in here. I miss him. Other than JB, he has the most posts here on iboats than anyone with well over 6,000! He helps tons of people out in the help forums above and thousands can thank him for his wisdom and advice. What a shame if he is gone for good. If you want to see him return, please let him know here if its not already too late. We love and miss you djohns!

I too miss djohn's sense of humor and heartfelt compassion on topics in Dockside chat. Always an intelligent conversationlist not to mention, a huge help to those in need in so many of the technical threads.<br /><br />We miss you djohns.

I really miss DJohns19. He is one of the "old timers" who helped bring this board to its great reputation for technical help. He is always helpful and he always knows what he is talking about.<br /><br />In one of the heated debates about the "flavor" of the board, mainly the non-technical sections, he spoke up and said his mind. He didn't call anyone names, he didn't use profane or vulgar language, he just said what he felt. He was at least as entitled to do so as anyone.<br /><br />He was immediately attacked and "told" to leave, if he didn't like it. He was sufficiently offended that he did, and we lost one of our greatest members and helpers. A real gentleman and a real loss.<br /><br />I feel partly responsible because I didn't jump on that thread and kill it before it got out of hand and cost us all so dearly. I apologize to all for that negligence, especially DJohns19. I will try not to let it happen again.

JB, not sure what thread it was, but it wasn't your fault.<br /><br />DJohns19, I have enjoyed your posts for the couple years that I have lurked/posted here. I too hope you will return and see fit to post away as normal.

i'm tellin' ya fellas,, this is one member you don't ever want to leave.. he's what this board is all about..<br /><br />he's as sharp as a tack an really knows his stuff..<br /><br />always seemed like a church goer,,to me.. ( no offence if your not DJ & no insult meant ,only compliment )<br />a man with high morals an codes..<br /><br />this board has/is taken a nose dive in the cesspool here ,lately... the humor alittle over he top.. the topics questionable.. me/myself ,a contributor to the decline,also... but really ,, all in pretty much good fun...but it adds up,,compounds..<br /><br />also,, this is hard to explain.. but if you been/stayed away much at all.. an you come back.. there's alotta new personalities here.. new ,strong, takeover personalites.. an when you come back,, it ain't the same...people/allies that you once knew are gone.. carry no weight anymore.. what's the use.. i'll go to..... <br /><br />come back DJ...

People like Djohns19, J.B , 12footer, Alcan, Rickdb1boat (And many more)are worth their weight in GOLD on here. Their experience cannot be found in any manual. We need to look after them and give them the respect they deserve. <br /><br />Maybe his 'Puter has gone belly up

Djohn's...That was an ugly thread as well as a roufgh period round here. Hope you will be able to see it as that and let the good outweigh the bad around here. Overall this is still a good site that seems to kinda be getting back to it's ol self. I Sincerly hope to see you back around here.
