But I have another question... I got the motor off and cut the top of the transom/splashwell off and am looking at the wood which feels pretty solid... In this case, do I need to dig this flemsy yet hard wood out or just go all out and remove the back end fiberglass instead of using seacast... I wasnt kidding when I said I was a crafty person... I was shocked to get the motor disconnected by myself... Thanks you all as always!!

Re: I must be bugging the heck outta everyone with my transom delima...

one more issue... should I do the CPES treatment after I have got the rotten wood out like rotdoctor.com suggests?? I'm not sure i wanna drill a hole in the bottom of my transom and wait 2 weeks to be able to do the seacast... I need the boat on the 15th... how well will seacast bond to the wood that IS good? I am beginning the tear out stage tomarrow so I will for sure have many more questions for everyone... Thanks again!
