i need a crate motor!!

i am in the market for an 87 omc 350 crate motor. who should i buy from? anyone with recommendations as to where to buy from would be greatly appreciated. i know you get what you pay for, but the range that i am seeing is 1200 to 3500 for reman and upwards of 6000 for new. buying from the internet can be scary not knowing what your getting. i am open for suggestions if anyone could help. thanks

Personally, I would buy from someone local to you. Make sure it has a really good warranty! If you have problems it will be easier to deal with someone local instead of someone online or in another state. Good luck

For marine applications, lots of guys on here have had good results buying from Rapido Engines.

crate what? long block? short block? fully dressed engine? bobtail?
what you need will determine where/what I recommend

i just need a long block 350. but i am leaning more towards building it myself
