Lighter color baits on sunny days and darker color baits on cloudy days.
Natural color baits in clear water and either very dark or brightly colored baits in muddy water. If you aren't getting bit, keep changing.
As a rule, I like silver colored baits in clear water and gold in muddy water... but black and/or bright orange have their place in muddy water too.
