I NEED PERFORMANCE FOR MY 3.0

My 3.0 is great but come on there has to be a different carb i can get or a set of hp pulleys or a turbo system or something if someone out there has answers please reply the thing is im not the only one who wants this. If they really dont have this stuff avaible im going to start making aftermarket on my own there is a fourtune to be made there. Someone please help

i dont think there is anything to get more hp out of 3.0 ....tunep and maybe some performace plugs and wires is about it .....there is no space to add a supercharger you would have to make a your own custom system and pretty much redesign the engine completly ....<br />No such thing as NOS on a boat ..unless your racing but still i do see how it would work <br />Maybe to get you on plane 10X faster ...<br />Even if you make something custom it wont be worth the time and money...just get a bigger motor<br /><br />Dom

what doman says.<br /> I have seen NOS on drives and the standard alpha drive has a tendancy to grenade when you shock it with another 100 ponies. the alpha drive (IMO) is marginal beyond 220 horses.any more and go with a bravo or volvo.<br /> good luck and keep posting

How fast is the boat now? What are you using for a prop? Do you have any additional planing devices, such as Trim Tabs, Hydrofoils ETC?<br /><br />What RPMs do you turn at WOT?

with the 3.0 you can eather get a great hole shot with a small prop like a 15*17 or go for top end with a 14*19 the motor just doesent have the power to come on plane quickely with a prop that gives good top speed<br /><br />on my 3.0 a 15*17 planes in about 3 seconds but only hits about 30 mph at 4800 a 14*19 will give me 40 mph but will not come on plane fast unless i am on the boat by my self<br /><br />tommays

No see this is retarted im 15 i dont wat a 6 ok i want the mpg i want to when i beat someone have seatowed in because they have fallen unconcious after realizing they have been beaten by a 4 cyl. I know for a fact that i can put on a different carb or something id just like to know if other people have done bigger cards and what to recomend. The boat does 100mph standing still and i dont want to touch that i just want to let my 4cyl catch up a lil. I dont have tabs but i do have i/o trim extender wings and i raise and lower the i/o to get perfect plane. At WOT im getting 50mph on a good day with just me

fact is there is no other carb for 4cyl...<br />I think this has been discussed many times before there is nothing to wake up a 3.0 <br />Strip the boat to the bare hull you will get more mph ....if its already doing 50 i think its excellent<br /><br /><br />Dom

VS My 95 3.0 gets 40 wot with 4 adults and thats kool but you push that lil plant too far and you will $$$$$$$$ one way or the other

vipery,<br /><br />That engine is already at its stressed end. There are no bolt go fast parts for it. For what you would have to pay for a water cooled turbo, you could install a V-6.<br /><br />Sorry, but it's a price leader without much hope for hopping it up.

yes but see now we are getting some where figure it out with like only 5-7 psi i could be crankin like another 70-90 ponies plus still get relativly good mpgs and make all the V8 guys cry sounds good to me i just need to fabricate it thats what your saying??? someone once told me that theyve seen turbo kits for it somewere like on ebay if so i want one

There is no turbo kit ..even if there was one it didnt work thats why it was for sale ...if you wanna spend 5k+ i would say go to some auto performace shop and maybe somone will actually make something for you but its gonna cost at least the price of a new v-8...<br /><br /><br />Dom
