I'm considering buying this flush system from www.marinetechgroup.com (maybe iboats carries it) which would allow me to run fresh water through the engine (which has fresh water cooling) and also can be set to run fresh water through the outdrive. It can also be set to run as a backup bilge pump. I keep the boat moored in salt water and the engine and outdrive currently only get rinsed out at the annual haul out. For about $75 it could be money well spent if it makes the manifolds, risers and fresh water cooling system last a little longer. Has anyone installed one of these in an I/O and has it been worth the time and money?

Declassified

Now the same technology used by the elite U.S. Army Rangers and U.S. Navy Seals is available to protect your marine engine.

Its gotta be great  and some how better than running normal fresh water through the system

Now this simple system with the hose connection tee and valves looks like a very good pick

tommays

Tommays - If price and installation wasn't an issue which one would you go with? I'm leaning towards the "SuperFlush" I mean U.S. Army Rangers and U.S. Navy Seals right?

There are way to many nooks and crannys in a motor for that thing to pulse out salt and better than than a simple tee and hose setup like the photo

Some of the chemcials like saltaway may inprove things over fresh water but i have never seen a long term (5 years or so)test that proves it

tommays
