IS THERE A WAY TO BACK FLUSH A LOWER UNIT TO SEE IF IT PLUGGED WITH SEAWEED OR MOSS. BIG BLOCK MOTOR (494) IT WAS SITTING IN THE WATER IN A HEAVILY WEEDED AREA FOR AWHILE. HAD NO INDICATION BEFORE AS TO HEATING UP. CAN ANYONE HELP?

how long has it been since the impeller was changed. if over 3 years, change it.
and yes, you back-flush the hose leading to the raw water pump (bravo only). however your power steering cooler is another location that debris can get caught
