My tachometer just went haywire on me. The boat is powered by an Evinrude150 hp. I have a gauge cluster which includes a tachometer from an i/o. Now I know that the ob tachs will measure 8k and the i/o's top out at 6k. So, since I already have the i/o tach can it be used successfully on the outboard?
