Hello all. New here but I'm a former Bayliner Owners Club member.
I recently traded for 2000 Chris Craft 328. I traded back in November with all of the plastic in fine form and in place. The boat also came with a mooring cover that has an issue. Instead of snaps, it has what I call "spline" that fits within the groove at the top of the windshield in the same way that the windshield plastic does. It's shaped in a way that the keeps pressure on the cover's splining as it pulls toward the back of the boat and snaps.
The problem is that the splining on the mooring cover has dried out and cracked to the point of almost making it unusable. The splining is sewed to the mooring cover and appears replacable. It doesn't appear to me to be something that would be proprietary to Chris Craft but I'm new to this line of boat.
I could install snaps to make it work but this would be an impediment to put up the windshield vinyl as the snaps would be in the way.
Need a magic bullet! Thanks
