I picked up a 14' Sea-Nymph today and on the back of it was a 1960 Evinrude 5.5 Fisherman. Started right up on the second pull. Looks like the plug wires have been replaced, so i'm assuming the igniton components have been at least looked at and probably replaced. I'm getting a mist out of the relief but not a "goodly amount" of waterflow, so an impeller change is in order before i put it in the lake.
I think i'll probably use this motor for the rest of the season (fall walleye trolling) and then replace it with a 9.9 of newer vintage, but I don't think i'm going to give this one up. I've had it for 8 hours and I've already got the hots for it. Maybe i'll slap it on a johnboat
