I think someone backed into my master cylinder?

I need to speak to my mechanic about this, because I noticed something. It looks like someone hit my master cylinder when backing up or something. When I took a look at it there was a noticeable dent in the top front of it. I wonder if my mechanic backed into it. I also notice a rubbing noise when I trailer it now and it seems like it takes more to stop and get the trailer moving.

Probabally just backed the hitch into it, if it is the style where the MC rides above the tounge. Chances are it got bent a bit, the dent in the top front of the reservoir should cause any issues but the rod might have gotten tweaked or the MC is now out of alignment causing it to grab.

I brought the boat back to my mechanic and his g/f took a look at it and then said, "that must explain why his license plate is bent". when I dropped it off at the storage place where he is also located the spot they gave me made it difficult since the place where the hitch is is lower in elevation.

Also you are correct about the MC above the tounge
