IAC valve cause 2 beep code?

Hello!
I have a 2004 Mercruiser 5.0L MPI engine, and last night i started getting the 2 beep audio warning, repeating every min or so. Temp is good, oil pressure good. Book says to check sterndrive gear oil, but the reservoir seems fine. Oddly, the engine wouldn't idle and would suddenly stall out. Wondering if its my IAC value and if it can throw the warning beep codes as well?

The IAC can cause that warning, but so can quite a few other things.

Best to get the engine scanned and find out what's actually causing the alarm than spending money on 'maybes'...

Yeah. 2 beeps every wee while is what mine did, when it was the IAC. Confirmed by diagnosis later. Definitely a possibility

Could be the IAC, and it could be quite a few other things.
For example, I have had to replace my IAC once.
But my water pressure sensor has had to be replaced 4 times.
