Hi All,
In the process of rebuilding a 70's carlson cvx, and i've got to do gauges. It's got a yamaha 2 stroke 115hp, and i'm looking at the teleflex sahara series from the iboat website(great price).
I called teleflex to find out more, they said i need seperate two stroke gauges? Is this true? The only thing i could see on the old ones is the oil gauge had what i think were lights for low leve for the reservoirl?other than that, the rest should be all right i would think(trim, tach, speedo, temp)? Thanks

Re: iboats gauges

hi.....welcome to i boats....

i think you are right.....but teleflex might have gauges with the warning indicators built in.....but the motor age will also comt in to play here.

however....lets get you over to the electronics section where the gauge gurus can jump in...

but ...just to let you know.....i boats is a really ....really.... good boating store.

cheers

The overheat and oil warning lights are typically included in the tachometer for engines that need them. So for your engine you need a tach that includes those indicators. All other gauges are not engine specific and don't even connect to the engine.
