Hi JB, I hope you're the right person to ask. Either I totally lost it or I'm having a bad day or whatever, I'm trying to place an order and can't get to the actual checkout, I select the items and quantity, select the shipping method, I get to where I UPDATE THE CART, and UPDATE THE SHIPPING, but when I select CHECKOUT I never get there, the choices I get are UPDATE SHIPPING or REVIEW CART, select either choice and I end up back where I started, looks like I'm in an endless loop. Am I just stupid  (likely) or it there something I'm missing :p (also likely) or what??????

SlowlySinking... Try clicking the "next page" tab... ;)

Incidently.. I was looking through my shopping cart and there was a bunch of items in the cart that I did not put there... I went ahead and removed them, but maybe someone should have a look ?

Re: iBoats Mega Mall Checkout Help Needed

Hi Guys, thanks for the help, :) I tried again and this time the iBoats checkout actually included the NEXT PAGE choice, unfortunately the next page asking for name/address, etc form was pre-filled in with all the data for some guy named Edit; Name has been changed to protect the, um, innocent? (JB), so I'm gonna go way out on a short limb and say there's something screwy :p with the web site, given that I don't see me providing my credit card data any time soon. Maybe tomorrow, or I'll try the 800 number, anyway, thanks again.

Just for fun I went back and followed through the rest of the checkout pages, yep, sure enough the same data was carried over to the credit card data input page, so, this poor guy Bill would probably receive my order if I was stupid enough to provide my credit card data.

SlowlySinking,

You aren't the one going in circles, it's the shopping cart system. This happens once in awhile and there are 2 things you can do. One is to clear out the shopping cart and put everything back in, then click on checkout and it should work. The other is to call us up when we are open and we can fix it for you without having to delete everything. Sorry about the trouble.

Admin5, thanks for the answer, I'll try that, at least I'm not as stupid as the wife thinks, but, what does she know, she married me. :D :D

UPDATE
I tried it and sure enough, it worked, but there's still a few problems, I had to change the quantity 3 times to get it to stay. Thanks again, Ken

Re: iBoats Mega Mall Checkout Help Needed

Regarding getting strange information in your cart, someone published a link (URL) that pointed to an old shopping cart. Normally, when you go into the mall you will just get an empty shopping cart. That cart has been permanently turned off so you won't see that problem any more. SlowlySinking - we had to remove the items you were looking at because they were attached to the old cart. We can re-create your cart if you would like. If you see anything like this again just give us a call and we'll take care of it immediately.

Hi snapperbait, I did. Admin5 straightened out the ordering problem, the good news is that the web site order function indicates that it doesn't keep your credit card data and therefore you won't get any extra bills.

Re: iBoats Mega Mall Checkout Help Needed

snapperbait, my pleasure. To put your concern to rest I suggest you call the 800 number on the back of the credit card you used and verify the most recent purchases. Most card web sites also let you set up automatic e-mail alerts when you purchase anything over a certain dollar amount, all of mine are set that way, they also allow automatic notification of bills sent and payments posted, that helps avoid the hefty penalty for no payment or late payments in the event of lost mail.

No worry necessary. Carts do not contain sensitive information and are not attached to any sensitive information. For the safety of all involved, we do not keep card numbers on our systems.
