​Looking for the location of the silver plug with the serial #s

I looked and looked but no luck??
did find this on a sticker under the cowl.1225433zy

That number is the model number...With it you can locate a/the correct parts diagram searching the model number online as there are 3 places that I know of. The following link will be one of them for you. 2002 1225433ZY Mercury Outboard Parts http://www.crowleymarine.com/mercury...I6?q=1225433zy

SW should stand for Salt Water....Essentially the model number is the actual complete engines part number from Merc from new.

That mentioned, when it comes to let's say what design engine "starter" you may need, You'll notice a part number change between the two serial number breakdowns....That's where it helps to know what serial number you really have....That or you'll have to try and compare designs with what your engine has on there now the best you can.

I contacted Mercury about something and gave them the 1225433ZY # and they said "no idea what that is"
