Hey lenny,
Check your manual and see what the rpm redline is (55-5800). This is what you want the engine turning when you're wfo. That's what you adjust the engine height to if you're proped right.

c/6

Hooty

Yeah, Lenny. Like Hooty says.

But what do I do about trim?

AHA, There's the rub, Matey!

With prop selection plus both adjustable trim and adjustable height you now have a three dimensional problem which will take 16 times as many trials as simply selecting a prop.

When you get the ideal prop-trim-height combination, the following will be true:

WOT will get the top of the operating rpm range.

Mph will be as fast as that boat will go with that combination of load and hardware.

As soon as you get it perfect, the boat load will change or move and all adjustments are now off.

Good luck! It's not really as bad as all that unless you get obsessed with one more tenth of a mph.

Red sky at night. . .
JB :)
