Hello All,
Let me start by saying I winterized my boat a couple of years again and placed it in my garage...
I have a Mercruiser 3.0 that I took out of the garage after sitting for a couple of years and got her back up and running (New Plugs, New Gas Filter, Oil Change w/ New Filter, Non Ethanol Gas, Sta-bil in Tank) and took her out this weekend, She did great at 1/2 to full throttle. But when I slowed her down to no wake speed or even neutral the motor ran sluggish and/or died. I had to throttle up while in neutral.
My Question is, should I pull apart the carb and clean/rebuild, or should I try running some seafoam (or anything else) through it first? If running seafoam (or anything else) is the suggestion first should I mix in gas tank or slowly add to air intake in driveway and the motor is running?
Thank you for any suggestions!
