Identifing Johnson 50 hp model.

I recently acquired a Johnson 50 horsepower motor from an estate and I don't have any identification and I'm not able to locate any tags on it. Also the frost plug that was the other identifying appears to be just a small plug with no letters on it. I have no gas oil mixtures or the basics to order parts. My Hope Is that someone will be able to help me either to identify this motor from the pictures or give me some area on that motor to looking for part numbers. Thanks in advance

The cowling on the motors says / tells me that it is a 1983 model.

super help I had no idea cowlings were that year specific. I have been able to find pictures of cowlings and motor now that i have the year and have purchase a manual. Thanks again..

The decals are year specific.----But decals and paint can be applied by most folks.
