Made in Petersborough, Canada, no less. All of mine say Milwaukee, Wis.

Hmmm... I wonder what the minute differences between the Canadian and US-built motors are.

Other than the tag, there isn't any difference that I'm aware of. I've mixed and matched parts from U.S. and Canadian built motors without issue...

thx alot for the info the engine is in awesome shape doesn't look like much use at all :)

Well, the best thing of it is, you got the best 10hp built. These had the heftier 5 bolt lower unit, that the 18's used and they hold up much better. It's a tad heavier than the '58 and newer models, but the extra weight is worth the quality. Good luck with it and have fun. :D
