Identify This Prop

-3 blade aluminum. Appears to be OMC, judging by the difuser ring.

-number inside the hub is: 562764

-number stamped on outside of hub is: 14543

-I believe it is a 17" pitch-can't read the diameter.

I DO KNOW that it DOES NOT fit a 1975 Johnson 50. The hub is too large-in diameter.

Does anyone know what it does fit? I can't use it, so I'd like to give it to someone that can use it. It's in NEW condition.

Thanks.

Re: Identify This Prop

I've looked through just about every book I have going back to 1962, and I don't find that (either) number...????
I've got another book (If I can find it) that will cross superceeded #'s as well...if I can remember where I last left it...

walleye,

Thanks.

I'm certain it's an OMC prop, or, at least designed for an OMC.

It might be a Michigan Wheel.

Re: Identify This Prop

The only number OMC had that ended in "764" was the 382764 and was the early 13-1/4X17 alum for 45-75hp, Interm. gearcase..the '75 50hp had the small gearcase.
The 562 could easily be mistaken and 382 actual???
Best I can come up with.
p.s. It's the same prop that fits the V4's and if I'm not mistaken, it's un-cupped.

walleye,

Thanks a bunch. You are correct, the 50 has a smaller gearcase.

This prop looks like it will fit a 70 or a V-4. Unfortunately, I have neither to check it out.

I'll send it to my dad to see if it fits his 1995 70 HP. I'll bet it will.

Thanks again.
