Idiot question on prop removal

Guys (and girls),I'm sorry in advance for such a stupid question but I have a '92 Mercury 75 Horse 3 cylinder and here's the stupid question. To remove the Prop, is it lefty loosey,righty tighty? I've never taken the prop off and wanted to check for fishing line,etc, and before I put some force on the prop nut I wanted to verify I turned it to the left to loosen. Thanks for helping an idiot.

I have a Force 125HP and it was Lefty loose, righty tighty. So you should be safe with doing this. You will need and impact wrench, probably to bust it loose though.
