just replaced the plugs, noticable improvement.

Idle speed is about 1000-1100. where should i start first, idle adjustment, or mixture adjustment?? the mixture is about 1 1/4 per the manual. sounds great, just a little high (i think its supposed to be like 800). the floats and needles are in good shape, and im fairly certain the floats are properly adjusted.

What year, horsepower and model #? You should be fine adjusting the idle adjustment screw until about 750-800 rpms. Adjust the mixture screw out one full turn out and adjust until properly set. Just my 2 cents

I believe you should be about 800 rpms when in gear at idle speed. If you are at 1000 to 1100 in neutral you will probably be at 800 in gear. To test, tie up to the dock and put it in gear.

Air screw out 1 1/8-1/4 turn.I leave them at 1 1/8 seems to work well. Idle in-gear 750-800. Start bring up to temp. Then move away from the dock put in gear and then adjust the idle.J
